It has been so so so long! And so much has gone on!
Catching up:
Sophia graduated from James Monroe High School on May 18th! Sophia was one of a handful of students to receive the Principal’s Award for Excellence in Leading by Example.
Sophia was selected to participate in Project Search via Mary Washington Healthcare. The program begins August 8th and will follow the Stafford Public School High School schedule for 2023/2024.
Sophia was recognized as the Optimist Student of the Month for April by the Fredericksburg City School Board.
Two of Sophia’s painting were selected to be part of the 60th Annual Juried Exhibition sponsored by the Sumi-E Society of America, Inc. Her paintings – along with works from other artists – will be shown at the Chinese American Museum in DC during June.
Sophia’s work as part of the Artists4ERA is on display at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture in Richmond, VA. The exhibition ends this weekend – June 4th.
Sophia was nominated and selected to be a Capable Model via the Next Move Program. Her photographic portrait will be part of the exhibit that opens on June 24th at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture in Richmond, VA. The Opening Reception will be June 24th. After their selection, Sophia and the other Capable Models enjoyed a fun outdoor photo shoot at an historic property in Richmond. The Opening Reception will unveil those portraits.

Sophiola will be a vendor at the RVA Big Market in Bryant Park in Richmond.
June 17th
Sophiola will be a vendor at Art in the Park in Fredericksburg at Hurkamp Park.
