August has been BUSY… And September is looking like it’s going to be even BUSIER! Here comes Fall!
What We Did Last Month:
A LOT!
We got to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York while we in the city to visit Miguel and his fiancee Brooke! We got to join the 4th Friday celebration at Artworks in Richmond where her work is now on display. Sophia also did a pre-interview with Chuck Archer at B101.5 in connection with the upcoming Children’s National Medical Center radio-thon on September 26th. Coming up in September!
September 5th
Sophia will create art at Coca-Cola Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. This event was put together with our partners and friends at Synergieswork. Several differently-abled artists are working together to make a collaborative art project for auction, with a reception that evening with Coca-Cola employees.
Saturday, September 7th
Sophiola will be at the Irvington Farmers Market.
Saturday, September 21st
Sophia will be one of the participating artists in Art Attack Fredericksburg. She will be painting in front of Foode late morning/early afternoon.
Saturday, September 21st
Sophiola will be at Art in the Park in Hurkamp Park in Downtown Fredericksburg.
Thursday, September 26th
Tune into B101.5 from 1pm-2pm to listen to Sophia and her parents talk about Sophia’s journey and hear about the amazing medical treatment she has received at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. We would love to have you call and donate during this hour – or anytime during the radiothon Thursday and Friday.
Friday, September 27th
Sophiola is a proud sponsor of the last concert of the season for Sounds of Summer in Fredericksburg’s Market Square. Sophia will join her parents in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by doing some salsa dancing with music by Rafael Ortiz and El Tumbao Urbano!
Saturday, September 28th
Sophiola will be at the South of the James Market in Richmond, Virginia
