Dallas, Texas!

It was wonderful meeting so many new and existing friends at the National Down Syndrome Congress Convention in Dallas, Texas. Many thanks for making us feel so welcomed.

Constantly Becoming

Sophia’s Children’s National Medical Center Art Show in Washington, DC officially ended July 13th. Many thanks to those who viewed her art, attended the reception and bought her art work.

Now Showing!

Sophia currently has her work on display at the Children’s National Foundation offices in Silver Spring, Maryland, the office of Ricardo A. Perez, DDS., PC (Metropolitan Pediatric Dentistry) in Chevy Chase, Maryland and Cary Street Partners (a Luxon Financial Company) in Richmond, Virginia.

Upcoming Events!

August 4th

Sophiola will be at the Fredericksburg Farmer’s Market (Art in the Park).

August 12th

Sophiola will be at the Cary Street Farmers Market in Richmond.

Sophia continues to paint throughout the summer with her wonderful teacher – His-Mei Yates. She will also do an art camp in mid-August at Libertytown Arts.

Sophia is continuing to learn independence - this week she is at St. Elizabeth’s Camp at Shrine Mont, run by the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia.

September 22nd

Sophia will be part of Fredericksburg Art Attack on September 22nd. Many thanks to our friends at Foode who extended an invite for her to paint in front of the restaurant during the event!

October 5th

Reception for Sophia’s first Fredericksburg art show/exhibit at the Fredericksburg Area Museum. The show/exhibit will run from October through December. More details to follow in our September news.
